Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Coming into the race I had put together a pretty good training cycle after recovering from The Twin Cities Marathon ten weeks prior. In fact, the week before the race I actually felt a little tired mentally.
Mountain, trail and marathon runner. Marathon personal best 5 years in the making. So Ive decided to update this blog because someone called me a Grandma. No, thats not why, but I appreciate the motivation. If I remember correctly I logged somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,500 miles.
This run felt like a marathon. No joke! I felt like I was running completely on empty! Thankfully, my foot was fine today, which is way more important than feeling good! Butt and shins are the big issues still. Started easy and kept them all very controlled. 27, 25, 23, 21.
Thursday, July 16, 2015. Somehow, this blog got away from me these past few months. I have changed a lot of things about my training these past few months and they all seem to be paying off.
